Our bear hunts are 5 days and occur in May and June. They are very productive and hunters have a great time. The hunts are over bait which is a quarter mile to a mile from the road. Delicious meals are served. Archery, rifle, hand gun, black powder are all weapons that can be used. The area supports a good population of color phase black bear and they vary from black to cinnamon. Our bear hunting drop camps are equipped with tents, cots, foam pads, lanterns, camp stove and a wood heating stove.


As members of the Idaho Outfitters and Guide Association Barb and Harlan Opdahl for over twenty years have been providing bear hunting trips from the pristine wilderness in Clearwater National Forest. This area has consistently been one of the most solid big-game populations around.
